Rainy day in Washington DC. Yet, the week ends with much exposure and inspiration. We visited the Embassy of Azerbaijan on May 10 to mark the anniversary of President Heydar Aliyev of Azerbaijan. Our teachers shared their fond memories. Ambassador Ibrahim never runs short of hospitality.

We stayed afterwards. Professor Can Korman from School of Engineering and Applied Science from George Washington University came over. Over a nice lunch at the Embassy, we had quite insightful exchange of ideas about teaching and learning. Pride, self-confidence and hard work of a teacher got emphasized over and over. Off we go into a rainy but busy weekend now in the nation’s capital.
