Education is all about continuous renewal. Fall semester ended with the departure of computer science students. Spring semester started with the arrival of teachers and principals from secondary schools in remote villages and towns of Azerbaijan. Some 21 of them come from Aghdam, Fizuli, Gadabay, Bilasuvar, Qazakh, Ganja, Goychay, Kalbajar, Guba, Shaki, Shamkir, Yevlakh, and Saatli.
Manifesto of One Teacher and Educator is an initiative launched by ADA University which is about Excellence in Teaching and Educational Leadership. Each year, we go to remote villages and towns of Azerbaijan, identify teachers and principals who are eager to learn, to grow and to make an impact. We enroll them in this year-long program. The purpose of the program is to boost their self-confidence, instill them with a sense of appreciation, expose them to the best-case practices in teaching and learning, enhance partnership for educational leadership among teachers and principals. Then, top performing teachers and principals visit the United States for further exposure and development.
Here they are now at The Washington Center of ADA University. Today’s Content-based English class taught by Mrs. Lisa luscombe from Monterey Institute of International Studies.
